I have been divorced for six years. My ex and I share custody of the boys. They live with him during the school year and with me during school breaks and in the summer. Although I get to see them often, that is not enough for me. I hope that it will all change soon and they will be living with me permanently.
I work for a company called Options for Better Living as a supported living specialist. I work with people who have special needs and help them maintain a home, job, or just get out in the community to meet people. I love my job and I look forward to going to work everyday. It is a very humbling job and I no longer take things for granted.
About 3 months ago I met a wonderful man named Jeremy. He is vey caring, patient and hard working. He is in the Indiana National Guard, a volunteer firefighter and loves to work on cars.
I am starting classes in January at a local community college. I am going to study Criminal Justice with a specialty in youth services, either to work with troubled youth or to better my knowledge with our adolescent clients at Options.
I have a very loving family. My parents' have been married for 41 years, I have 5 sisters' and 13 nieces and nephews. We all still live in the same area so we get to see each other all the time. I am lucky to have this family and would not trade them for the world.
The only pet peeves I have are people who brag about what they have, people who take credit for someones else's work, and people who lie to make themselves look better.
Well, that is my life, not very exciting, but I am happy and things are only getting better.
