The First Day of Farmfest By David Christensen |

It was the first day of Farmfest, and all over my farm, Everything was ravaged, demolished and torn. The pigs messed up everything, just the day before, And cleaning it up would be a huge chore. Nothing is in its place, it was all thrown around. And amidst all this chaos, not a thing could be found Which had not been affected by the hog's nasty raid, After they had escaped from their pen yesterday. The shop was the first place I decided to clean. I was amazed by the mess I had seen, All the junk that was leaning on the walls, was now on the floor, I was lucky I had enough room to open the door. I had no problem restoring the shop to how it had been, I just hung the junk back up on the wall again. The shed, however, was a disaster, as I saw when I got there, Much of the machinery was badly in need of repair. Pigs tipped objects which punctured tires and made them go flat, They chewed on the hydraulic hoses for the grapple fork of my Bobcat. With the Bobcat damaged, there is just no way That I can easily clean all my barns today. So I'll have to use a shovel and a pitchfork And wheelbarrow the manure outh through the door And pile it outside, right next to the pen, Then move it when I get the Bobcat working again. For the rest of the day, I'll just take a break, And my visit to Farmfest will have to be delayed. |
