Born in a farmhouse known as West Crest, near the former villiage of Hibernia. 1908 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. Attended O.S.U. Retired farm machinery sales representative for Minneapolis-Moline Power Implement Co. Charter member Reynoldsburg Historical Society, where he contributed many hand carved scale models. Member Brookwood Presbyterian Church. Also an avid sports fan. Preceded in death by wife Ethel (Wright) Phalor, father Henry Phalor (Civil War Veteran), mother Rebecca (Hare) Phalor, 10 sisters and brothers of whom he was next to the youngest. Survived by daughter, Bonita LaPlante, Columbus; grandchildren, Suzanne Flieder, Tallahasse, Florida, Jeffery J. Johnston, Braunschweig, W. Germany; great-grandsons, James and Jonathan Flieder; nieces, Georgina O'Day, Kathern Oberle and Mabel Wolf, all of Columbus; 8 great-nieces and nephews; 22 great-great-nieces ans nephews; 8great-great-great-nicecs and nephews; numerous good neighbors and friends.
