Your ute broke down about ten miles back.  You are in the middle of nowhere, sun beating down relentlessly, flies swarming around while the crows on the side of the road wait in the scant shade for you to die.  It's hotter than hell and you are not sure if you'll make it to the next town, somewhere ahead in the heat haze. Each step is a giant endeavour, lungs burning, vision blurring.  And then sudddenly there appears a sign, from God or whoever you don't know, but there's a sign - though the name of the town is not what it's meant to be - and as you slowly fall into unconsciousness you remember thinking the heat is making you hallucinate...
