My Patti's Got A Daddy In Cincinnati

Words and Music by Randy Morse

We're takin' a drive on I-75, leavin' the country home
I got my baby and my sweet lady, we ain't been married too long
I'd rather be watchin' TV and takin' a long weekend
But we gotta go across the Ohio, `cos family's more than friends

My Patti's got a Daddy in Cincinnati and her Mama lives there too
I never wanna come but we always have fun every time we do
In that old place we're face to face with a chance to find something new
My Patti's got a Daddy in Cincinnati, for the weekend, we can too

Cincinnati chili's like nothin' really you ever tasted before
With spaghetti, onions, beans, and cheese, two-way, three-way, four
Then there's Frisch's always delicious with good old fifties food
For six bucks each, we can see the Big Red Baseball Crew

It's a Southern City in a Northern State where the river flows East and West
A timeless town that never slows down, or speeds up like the rest
