"My first kiss, I was so grossed out!" says Terri Clark with a laugh. "He stuck his tongue in my mouth and I thought I was going to puke. And I ran home crying to my mother that this guy had done this to me. I was 12, I think. I just thought it was disgusting. Of course, I didn't know that that was the way you're supposed to do it!"

But I ran home crying, and everybody was there, because I was so grossed out. And I was so embarrassed. They called me square. All year long, they teased me because I ran away. I was really shy about stuff like that.
