On this page I will express my knowledge about our country's Civil War, from my point of view.  My name is Drew, call me Rebel, I am 10 years old.  I will tell you about the battles, hospitals, people and generals.  I think it is sad that our good country was battling itself.  People could have worked things out but they would not listen to each other.  So if you like what I think then read on.

Siege at Bridgeport

March 27,1999

As union Cavalry came and met the confederates they got a little curious about how strong the union was. So confederate cavalry went to go see. They went to a hill to look out below. Then guns fired. Then the confederate Cavalry came back. Union cannon was being pushed and pulled up the mountain. Confederate cannons saw them and fired. Then the Union infantry came up. The confederates which was behind earth work decided to make a one of the groups to go up and battle them. They did send a group up. They held their ground and sent another group. Then the cannons from both sides shook the ground. The Union and Confederate army's guns roared. The union fell back and then one of the Confederate's cannon from behind the earth works was brought up to where the infantry was. They had a field hospital, it was full of people. Then the union Cavalry came and  the confederate Cavalry met them, soon they were slashing at each other. The union infantry regrouped and returned. They broke through the little group of Confederate infantry, and came to the earth works where the fighting was rough and hard.   Some confederates ran for the woods, and the union took the earthworks.

The Forrest - Streight Raid at Blountsville,Alabama, April 29th, 1863

It is the first reenactment of the Forrest - Streight Raid at Blountsville, Alabama.  The Confederates were lead by Brigadier Nathan Forrest. The Union was lead by Colonel Abel Streight.  The Union came to attack crossing a creek by a bridge.  When they crossed it, they burned it, which slowed them down they waded to the other side.  Soon after Confederate crossed shots were fired then out of nowhere  hiding Confederate cannons came out and fired.  Then the Confederate army moved closer to the enemy, which laid in the grass. Then Confederate cavalry came moving only yards away from the Union.  They shot four or five at the Union then they rode back to the Confederate infantry.  Then the biggest cannon fired, making the loudest sound in the world. The Confederate army moved in closer as the Union fell back. The cannon roared, guns shot, horses rode hard, Confederates came closer, the Union fell back farther.  Then the Union retreated which meant the Confederates won this one.
