He is an even-tempered man who would rather use words to settle a disagreement, rather than fists, but if pushed will be quick to defend himself and his family. He has remained friends with the Bernards despite his father's wishes, knowing the real truth behind the disagreement. However if forced to choose sides, he would choose his family over the Bernards and never think twice about it. Loves children and animals and has collected a menagerie of wounded animals in the barn to care for.  Wants nothing more than to be able to attend veterinary school and return home to Three Crossings to open his own business.
