Thomas heard from a collage that the town of 3 Crossing needed a preacher because theirs were retireing because of health reasons. Thomas jumped at the chance to go west. After talking about it with is wife, they both agreed to go, so they packed up and headed to 3 Crossings. The trip took longer then they expected because Mary was expecting their first child.
