I was raised on a ranch in far west Texas called the Flag Ranch started riding
and breaking and training horses at an early age and went to riding bulls later.
It was hard work but I loved it the ranch had 15 head horses and 900 head of cattle,
we drove them to market 60 miles away.
It is a true fact the cowboy as we knew them is no longer. It was hard dirty work, the horses that we used then was
good quarter horses that we trained our selves. This story is about the cowboys that is fading, and the horse that is just pleasure horses to day.
I know in my mind there are still some real cowboys out there and I want this to be for them, oh and I met some real cowgirls to, I married a real cowgirl.
She rode with me and worked hard, I would even let her open gate some,:-)
she was a cowgirl that was a roper and could brand a calf well this is not much to a lot of people,
but to me its the way of life that started it all to rolling.
I wish to thank all these great friends that helped me with this page, I couldn't have done
it without you great friends and ol' BAR is proud of you for being you.
And by all means don't sell your selves short you're all special people.

A cowboy knows his job and does it, doing it right all day long.
He learns his lessons, gets back up off the ground, dust him self off.
A cowboy is one who knows when to stop and take time to talk to his creator.
He knows when to use his guns or just let it pass.
He recognizes a beautiful thing and dosen't try to change it.
