Home So Far Live dates Stranger Tractors Our Friends On The Net lyrics & Album info
All of these people
on this page were involved in the recording of the album
and I feel that the guilty parties should be identified, in case you ever
find yourself at a party
where they may be lurking. At least you now have a fighting chance of
avoiding them.
J B ( keyboard, flute,
wokiphone )
Without J B there would be no album, He turned up at my gig with Martin
Stevenson at the Jazz Cafe in Camden,
and asked if I had any recordings of my songs. I said that I had some
on four track, and he then asked if I would
like to make some more in a proper studio. I asked him if the pope was
a catholic, and the rest is now history.
NB this is a rare pic of JB holding the wokiphone, it really belongs to
Lara
Lindsay Short ( The bass man )
Lindsay has played bass on some
of my music since the last throes of Stranger Tractors
He has also played with Martin Stevenson, as well as lots of other bands
which it would make him blush to mention, like MR P but we won't go into
that.
Danny Preece (Drums & Percussion)
Lord Preece
of Combiton We were lucky to get Danny after his initial disillusionment
at the hands of a folk rock outfit
who took him all the way to Ireland to play on an album, and then at the
insistence of an overbearing producer,
he was made to watch a session guy play all of his parts.(on Dannys
own drum kit) Still their loss is our gain
Tim Harries ( One take Jake )
Putting his professional career on the line Tim allowed himself to be
enticed to the Snake Ranch,
and forced to do all manner of strange things with a 200 year old double
bass for the pleasure of
our overlord Gerry (the Tastemiester) O"Riordon, and what's more
he loved it. Birthdays Barmitzvahs, weddings etc
Miss Lou Reid ( "aye there's the rub" )
Lou is a great singer songwriter in her own right, and although she was
unable to make the sessions
we phoned her at home and recorded her part in London. She has been recording
with ex simple mind
Mick Mcneil and any day now she will be back on the road.
