Welcome to my little corner of the world! Just kick back, relax and
enjoy the sights and sounds from here in Oregon.
My name is Bill Abbott. I am a native Oregonian, born near the historic
town of Jacksonville and I am married to Phyllis, a cute little Polish
maiden from Nebraska. We are both committed Christians, active in the
Episcopal Church and I am very much involved in music.
A nice lady who resides in Orlando, Florida and is known as The Duchess by her friends, encouraged me to set up this Web Site. She did all the art work and maintains the site for me and all I do is provide the MIDI files.

I have been a professional percussionist since the age of fifteen and have played in just about every kind of musical organization except rock and roll. My claim to fame is having played in the Oregon National Guard Reserves Pipes and Drums in the inauguratiion parade for President Ronald Reagan. This is my 24th year as drummer in the Capital City Jazz Band, a Traditional Dixieland Band in Salem, Oregon. I also play my Yamaha Keyboard and sing for residents in Retirement Homes and Care Facilities and have been doing that since retiring fifteen years ago from the insurance business. I average about 10 or 15 performances each month, so it keeps me off the streets. |
