Leather and Lace

Two hearts brought together

to help one another through the pain

it ended in love

but with it came the rain

Rain in the form

of uncontrollable tears

those brought on

by heartaches and fears

They couldn't be together

the distance too great

one was taken

but would it be fate

That brings them to each other

Just to be together

for then it would be

the two Lace n leather

Her soul was made of silk

her heart made of lace

but would she ever see

the love in his face

He is her strength

strong like leather

yet his heart is hers

its as light as a feather

Now the question remains

is their love true

will it keep them together

or will it make them blue

He's her leather

she's his lace

could they have met

the wrong time the wrong place

Will the time be perfect

or will it forever be confused

can their love survive the trial

or will it always be misused?

The only wish she has

is to be with him once more

and for their love to last

so the tears don't start to pour

But if he chooses someone else

she will understand

but his reasonings she wont ever

for they were hard to comprehend

Her love he will always have

to hold dear to his heart

and the only words she has left unspoken

are those that are from the bottom of her heart

The words that hold the most meaning

she finds it hard to say

they are the ones she'll mean forever

I 'll love you till my dyin day

So as her heart is his

she hopes he can trace

all his love back to them
