This poem is dedicated to the Ranch...Y'all know who you are!

The Ranch

One hundred friendly faces

all gathered in one spot

to help each other overcome

those that tie us in a knot

Some have come to find

a lover or a friend

others just trying to escape

and bring their loneliness to an end

All of us have that spirit

the one in our hearts

that tells us what its like

to be so very far apart

Cowboys and Cowgirls

all of us are

or we have the heart

to take us far

We have all banned together

not wanting to deceive

and take away all the friendships

time and kindness have received

When one gets into trouble

all of us are there

looking out for one another

and starting to prepare

For the times that lie ahead

for the tears and the heartaches

that will come with times passage

and the choices we all make

We have never seen one another

some never will

but just the same

we love each other still

We each have our own identities

We all answer to a name

the name that which we decide

fits us to a tee or so we claim

Together we make life

a little easier to bear

hoping that through it all

we'll make a magic pair

Some day we all hope

to do a meet and greet

For to meet some of our friends

would be a special treat

There are, however, problems

all is not as it seems

for all the relationships

cannot be taken for what they mean

I have a lot of brothers

and sisters in the ranch

all of whom I love and cherish

but there is just one catch

Guard your heart with caution

dont let passion get away

for many friends are taken

and you will just be in the way

So let the romances flourish

as the friendships branch

off in our own little world

the one we call The Ranch
