["Midnite Special - Paul Evans"]
Visit Paul HERE

On this page you just might see some future 'super'stars, some future stars and some that might not make it all the way to the top, but SHOULD!!! Some I've met, some I've heard on the radio or CMT, others I've only heard on the Internet, but hope to hear someday on the radio. Some of the very best are still holding down a full time job and hoping that someday.......
GOOD LUCK to those on this page and all the other deserving singers and musicians!!! If it's God's will, it WILL happen....BUT, not if you give up your dreams.

ALWAYS STRIVE FOR 'FRIENDS' RATHER THAN 'FANS'
FANS ARE FICKLE.
THEY CAN BE HERE TODAY AND GONE TOMORROW
FRIENDS WILL STAND BY YOU
THROUGH ALL YOUR GOOD DAYS
AS WELL AS THE NOT-SO-GOOD ONES!!

BELOW ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITES:

These are our local 'HOMETOWN BOYS', and you'd better believe THEY ARE GOOD!!!!

click on the pic to see the "BIG PICTURE".

They call themselves "HIGH COUNTRY" and as of now, they're only playing locally. You should see the crowds they draw for our annual "BODOCK FESTIVAL". The courthouse square is blocked off -- yes, it's a small town---and everybody (young and old) dance in the street!! People come from miles around for this event. They do a MEAN Brooks & Dunn and the lead singer could pass for Ronnie Dunn or Vince Gill if you weren't looking.
"My Maria" and "When I call your name" could only be sung better by Ronnie and Vince. Did I mention "When a Man Loves a Woman"??? When the band cuts loose on the EAGLES songs, the crowd really gets into it. What these guys can't play or sing can't be played or sung!!!

Did I mention that they won SECOND PLACE at the June Jam competition a few years back??? (and VINCE GILL was one of the judges!!!)

I'm proud of our local guys and think they could compete with the best.

You'll love this guy!!!

Dale Houston

I accidentally found Dale's site while 'surfing' the country music 'net'. I signed his guestbook, and he was nice enough to reply by e-mail. We exchanged a few e-mails and he impressed me by being such a nice, thoughtful guy. Also, when I saw his website contained a link to St. Jude Children's Hospital (my favorite charity), I was even more impressed!! Then, to top it all off, while attending a fan club event at Fan Fair for another prospect for my 'prestars' page, I recognized Dale from his website pictures and introduced myself (and of course, got an autograph and picture while I was at it). He was even nicer in person than on the 'net'. I feel like I've made a new 'netfriend' here. If you haven't heard (or seen) this guy, check out his homepage and give a listen.

Joe Nichols

Joe caught my eye (and ear) on CMT with his video "Six of One" (......). Not only the music and lyrics got my attention; but that "impish" little grin won my heart!! If you haven't heard this guy, check out his homepage and give a listen. Hopefully, I'll have a "Joe 'N Me" picture to post someday.

The first time I saw Woody Lee (signing autographs at Fan Fair), all I could say was "Patsy, would you look at THAT!!!!!". We had no idea who he was and couldn't get close enough to even read his name, but we did manage to get a picture. Several months later, while watching CMT, I spotted him in a video and immediately called my friend, Patsy, to look. There was no doubt in my mind it was him, 'cause I'd never seen anyone else who looked that good. If I had to vote on the most handsome man I'd ever met, I can't think of anybody who'd be put above him on the list (Other than 'The King', of course). Now, for his SINGING ----- believe it or not, he can do THAT too! Woody is a FANTASTIC entertainer and singer, and one of the nicest guys we've ever met at Fan Fair!! What more can be said? Check out his site and listen (and look) for yourself-------- Woody Lee

WOW!!!......WOW!!!

This guy I found on the internet (geocities webring). I had never heard the name, but thought I'd listen to the songs he had on his site. First I listened to a remake of a song I'd heard before "SHE JUST STARTED LIKING CHEATING SONGS" and was really impressed with his version, so I went on to the next song "PERFUME". After hearing this one, an original, I knew for certain THIS GUY HAS LOADS OF TALENT!!

HAROLD HILL

Harold Hill - A Country Music Portrait

The band below is one that some friends and I HEARD
(from a distance)and followed the sound till we found
them!! They were playing at a small area in the
parking lot on Music Row during Fan Fair in Nashville.
They have a very BIG sound. The ONLY thing these
guys need, is for the right person to hear them. They don't
sound just like all the others. I only met these boys
just that day but they impressed me enough for me to
put them on my website. That should say a lot
about how good they are. I only wish I had bought
a tape that day.

I'd like to wish the best of luck to this young man!
I would say he has a brilliant future ahead of him

??? WHERE ARE THEY NOW ???

While visiting Nashville in '97, some friends and I finally got up enough nerve to visit Printers Alley (it wasn't bad at all). We checked out the local clubs and while in Lonnie's Western Room, we heard a couple that sounded really 'special'. After speaking with them, we discovered they were a brother/sister act. It figured, because not too many non-family duo's have that kind of harmony. I'm really surprised that we have not heard them on the radio yet. We bought a tape and got them to autograph it (while they were not-yet famous).
Let me add here, that we have done that before only to listen to the tape and find that the tape contained maybe one good song --- not with these two!! All of the tape was excellent. We listened to it all the way home and I've listened to it off and on ever since. I haven't seen nor heard of them since, and would really like to know if they've been 'discovered' yet.
If these two don't make it in Nashville, then something's wrong with the record exec's!!!
If you know anything about them, please e-mail me.
I'd like to be able to tell them how much I've enjoyed this tape!!

.

PLEASE VISIT AGAIN --- I'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN

****If you've seen or read anything on this page that interested you, please sign my guestbook and let me know !!! THANKS, Barb****
