Seems I am always keeping you outside.
But it is so beautiful out here. I remember when I was a kid and the spruce you see was only 2 feet tall. I once thought of chopping it down, but I feel that it belongs to the animals and birds, not me.

I am really hoping to get some better pics of the birdfeeder area. There are two thistle tubes and one sunflower feeder. Squirrels do not eat thistle, but the finches, chickadees, junkos, and mourning doves sure do. And the sunflower feeder, a cardinals delight, is a Duncraft Ultimate II. It is really squirrel proof. For two years the squirrels have been trying to break the feeder down with no success. In my own defense, I do give those tree rats 2 pounds of peanuts everyday. They are not suffering. LOL

Remember the gardens? We Yankees grow hearty perennials. By the time I have learned how to use the new camera, the flowers will be blooming again.

Not sure.. when last you saw this scene, was Belle looking at the dreaded leaves? Or maybe at the border of marigolds and ageratum. Or was she stalking something unedible to us? Whatever, we know where she is now... inside where it is warm, playing with catnip mice :)

A November 2004 snowstorm brought a few new guests to my backyard. I have never seen anything as ugly as a wild turkey and I had 4 of the crazy beasts running around the place trying to figure out what the squirrels and crows found so fascinating. They were actually leaping straight up into the air trying to pick some berries off low hanging trees. Ugly yes, but they had me laughing! (Sorry, but I could not get all 4 of them to pose together for us;) )
