The Trail Continues in
, continuing our trail with the guy I married. Who would have ever thought I would leave Texas? Not me, yet here I am. What am I doing here? I came with the guy I married and he's not even from here, but his ancestors were, some still live here. This land is my land now, these mountains too, the hills where we live are gorgeous, not one alike, they all have their own shapes and heights, their personal feel too. Some you can climb in 10 minuets, some hours, at my pace, that is. We live in the most beautiful Sequatchie Valley. If you ever visit us, take a moment and notice the view before you start down either mountain, as that is the way to get down into the valley. You will be glad you did.
What do people do in Tennessee? Well there is Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. Home of the Volunteers, and always full to capacity during football season.
undefeated 13 - 0 1998 National Champions #1
If you are a country and western music fan, you must stop in the music city USA Nashville, home of the Grand Ole Opry.
GENEALOGY, don't forget this page. This is a work of enjoyment and love. MERCERs begin in Virginia to East Tennessee about 1834, later moved to SouthEast Tennessee, and yet later some to Northern Texas where they died and are buried. FIELDS married MERCERs, and the long line of decendants grew. Check out my surnames: MERCER, FIELDS, PRYOR, SIMMONS, SHELTON (very little info), BILLINGSLEY, and others at: GENEALOGY PAGE (under construction)
