#Shangrila on Starchat.Net

The dictionary describes Shangrila as an imaginary hidden Utopia or Paradise. The people that come to #shangrila describe it as a warm and welcoming environment to meet and chat with old friends and a great place to meet new friends.

"Old Timers" and "Newcomers" are always welcome at #shangrila. The channel "regulars" after bouncing around on various servers over the last few years have settled on Starchat.net and moved everybody to this server in early September 97. We have created a happy and warm channel there with so many good friends that meet and chat every day and offer each other support and friendship.

IRC, short for Internet Relay Chat, offers a world-wide multi-user chat network, where people meet to talk in groups, or privately. Lots of people can participate in the real time discussions, and the number of topics covered on IRC is endless. On IRC you'll meet people with the same ideas and interests, and making friends for life is not unusual.
