author's life up to 1923.  An incomplete manuscript for a
second volume exists, but has never been published.

The depth and extent of Beecham's contribution to music in this
century can only be fully understood in the context of his
concert life, which this volume sought to document--six decades
of making music.  Although this book did not enjoy commercial
sale per se, a number of libraries purchased and hold copies. 
Microfiche copies are available for a donation to the Sir

Beecham Calendar Supplement No. 1
     compiled and edited by Tony Benson
     Tony Benson, 1990

Maurice Parker admitted that his Calendar probably was not
complete; Tony Benson and a dedicated group of volunteers have
since worked to make additions and corrections, some of which
are published in this supplementary volume.

Beecham Calendar Supplement No. 2
     compiled and edited by Tony Benson
     Tony Benson, 1998

This volume supersedes Supplement No.1 with yet further details
on the endlessly fascinating concert activities of Sir Thomas
Beecham.
