A map for genealogical explorers
This map includes most of the places our first-known ancestors
called home or would have recognized. Drulingen is directly
below, with Asswiller, the home of the local siegneur
at the time Niclaus Wehrung came to Alsace, to the northeast.
Most of the surrounding villages supported Wehrung families at
some time in the last three centuries.

Ensminger families were found in both Waldhambach and
Diemeringen (below, closer to the top of the map), two villages
almost side-by-side. Despite this proximity, no genealogical
connection has been established.

Both family names are found throughout this area
today.
