A robot fashioned after Natsume Soseki sits perpetually at a desk in the International Arts Center. He is programmed to help users of the space and also to recite some wise words from the writings of Soseki.
There is a bookshelf which is actually a connection to links on the World-Wide Web. There is also a kiosk which stores messages on a tree-like subject structure. Some of these messages, stored on the tapedeck branch, can be found here.
To the south of the International Arts Center is a small classroom, fitted with a slide projector.
And downstairs is the IAC Tech room, also fitted with a tree-like message storage object - a space for discussing the physical aspects of making art. The Tech room is connected to a Virtual pottery studio.
