The Gypsy Kings Concert
What a crowd at the concert of Gypsy Kings!
I really can't hear what each of them sings.
The bass from the amplifiers are too loud.
One can see waving arms rippling through the crowd.
Some songs end with a big thunderous applause.
Thank God! My ears can rest during their short pause!
The twenty amplifiers make my HEART jump!
I can feel each music beat through my chest THUMP!
My Polish companion is one of their fans.
Attending all concerts is one of his plans.
I wish I could understand what they're singing,
As I watch them ,on their grand guitars, clinging.
Their level of excitement is increasing.
We sweat and sweat as the winds are decreasing.
Some are dancing at their seats or in the aisles.
On most faces, one can see ecstatic smiles.
The Gypsy Kings exit the big stage again.
Their fans are in a frenzy for their refrain!
Under the blue sky, with cute white clouds, shrouded,
This amphitheater is too overcrowded!
To get guards' help, I put my right hand up.
They can't make people move! We have to STAND UP!
This Latin concert is SECOND to Woodstock.
Noone is stoned. Noone is in any shock!
written (by a NONfan of Gypsy Kings) on Sunday June 1, 1997
during their concert that I could NOT hear their songs distinctly
due to the SUPERLOUD GIGANTIC amplifiers about to give me a heart attack???
the other "Woodstock" over 30 years ago was more FUN
in a spacious field in Massachusetts or ? I forgot ... it was a blind date
from Rhode Island who came up to Connecticut to pick me up for that music festival ...
