An earlier, incomplete version of this essay, which focuses on the long poem by próspero saíz, "the bird of nothing," appears in the current ABRAXAS. Readers are invited to print, trim and insert this corrected version into ABRAXAS #44/45. The last section of the essay appears on pages 23 through 31 of the online version and should replace the incomplete last section on pages 112 through 114 in ABRAXAS 44/45.
