Karvy enters IT business

Karvy Consultants Limited, a registrar and share transfer company, has entered the information technology services sector, riding on the demand for medical transcriptions in the US. Karvy Consultants Chairman and Managing Director, Parthasarathy has said, "As a strategic move, we want to be a global service provider. We are in the process of upgrading our skills and are looking at opportunities to operate in newer environments particularly in the IT services sector."
Karvy unveils new system to speed up redressal of investor complaints
NEW DELHI, April 3: Karvy Consultants has entered into an exclusive arrangement with the Delhi Sock Exchange to redress investor complaints directly through the bourse. The agreement, which is the first of its kind in the country, will help investors save considerable time and energy as it will speed up the investor redressal process. Karvy has also made an application to MTNL for providing toll-free services to the Reliance shareholders.
