** Comes the Dawn - When
I read this poem by Veronica A. Shorffstall the first thing I thought was every
single/divorced woman must read this...then I thought...no...every woman... every
person, needs to understand that each of us is responsible for our own happiness. No
one else.
All these lessons she speaks of I had realized
and understood before I came across her words. What it took me years of experiencing
life to learn, Veronica has summarized in one short poem.
And still, though I have been there...in every
situation and know these lessons to be true, recalling them and remembering to live them
is something else again.
She says " with every good-bye, you
learn...." and for me, finding .... and understanding, that lesson in
good-bye, then believing in my own endurance and self-worth is sometimes the hardest part.
There have been so many good-byes.... for us all.
Please read ........ Comes the
Dawn

"Memories of shame, guilt, rejection,
hatred, resentment, and other unloving feelings cannot be converted to love. These images
are what they are. Accept them and move to a higher sense of Self,
which is unconnected with memory. "
