Welcome to my poetry site.

After confining myself to rhymed lyric-writing for most of my life — and regarding most of my contemporaries’ purported poetry as little more than non- or sparsely punctuated prose with delusions of grandeur — I finally began trying to write poetry of my own in 1990, and found it challenging and rewarding.

My not capitalizing the first person nominative pronoun (I) doesn’t reflect my admiration for e. e. cummings, but rather my discomfort with one word standing out visually from its neighbors on any particular line.

sinophobia, which I wrote after watching the Little League World Series on TV, was where I started, so may I suggest that you start with it too? Once there, you’ll be able to link to four of its younger stablemates.
