So you want me to draw you a picture, eh?

Commissions! And new stuff to buy. HOORAY!

Yes, I do commissions. New prices: $30 for a 9x12 colored pencil or watercolor on Bristol. $20 for black-and-white (inked or monochrome pencil). NEW MEDIA: I am henceforth taking commissions in new and exciting media, such as embossed sheet metal (thin copper, suitable for ornaments, pendants, etc), polymer clay (Sculpey/ Fimo), and gouache on bristol. Examples forthcoming. :)

For each commission, I keep sketching until you see something you like. I then redraw the sketch onto 9x12 Bristol and ink/paint/color it in. Then I mail it to you, and you mail me money. (if you pay me beforehand, I'll feel all guilty about being slow and I'll try to work faster) Money is key. Don't forget to send it. :) Usual time for a 9x12 color or just plain elaborate picture is 2-12 months. It's quicker if you don't have a lot of little details to include, but don't let that stop ya.

Prints!
If you see something you like on my Yerf archive or anywhere on my page, I'll make you a print of it and mail it to you. Prints will be color copies or laser prints, on the heaviest stock available. I can also print high-res art on glossy photo paper. $5-$10, based on size/colors of picture.

Requests

If you ain't payin' me for it, it's a request :)

The difference between a request and a commission: with a request, the picture is uploaded to Yerf. You don't get to see any sketches that I do for it, nor will I mail you the final artwork. You will, however, be entitled to post the picture on your webpage or wherever, provided you leave my signature on it. (it's also nice if you provide a link back to my main page, tho of course this ain't a requirement) The other difference is that a request usually won't take top priority. If I happen to have a lot of spare time, I'll do your pic right away; if not (as is usually the case), you may be waiting a while: longest waiting time so far: three months and counting :) A good way to get me to hurry up on a request pic: Give me an *interesting* description (this does not include the standard :"My char Rastor the Slayer is a big angry wolf who has a big-ass sword and is also a Thunder-Mage with fireball powers..") Not that I object to this- I just get a lot of requests like that, and who wants to draw the same thing over and over again?

My first online art was posted on the Redwall Art Page, run by Hewttam and Keyla. I've always been a big fan of the Redwall books, and my art gets a lot of free publicity from some of the RW Club members :) Therefore, if you're a Redwall fan, you get bonus points, mad props, and other goodies. (I'll probably pay more attention to your request, too.)

A NOTE TO THOSE WHO WANT REQUEST PICS:

Lately I've been getting a lot of requests from Redwall fans. I don't mind doing these pics and I'm keeping up with 'em pretty well, but I think I shall add a few guidelines just to make things nicer for y'all and a li'l easier on myself.

1) Make use of the picture I draw for you. Stick it on your webpage. Link to it. Free publicity rules. :)

2 Please, no group pics with more than six or seven characters. While I just finished this request picture and had fun drawing it, I could've finished maybe two or three other people's requests in the time it took me to fit all those characters onto the page.

3) Gimme your e-mail!. I don't mind it if you really truly have no e-mail of your own, but that's pretty rare nowadays. If you need an e-mail address, get one for free from hotmail or iname. If you're e-mailing me from a friend's computer, say so. This is so that I can write back to you and clear up aspects of your character's design or answer your questions. If I can communicate with you before I finish the picture, you're more likely to get art you like.
