The first grade classes love to make pieces that are different. These snow angels were perfect. Based on an article in Art & Activities, Dec.? 1995, the children created the angel shape with a 9 inch paper plate. We added a piece of paper for the face and of course a cloud of cotton for hair. Using repeating patterns, we decorated the angel with designs. The final touch was glitter.
The following week we created the background using white chalk for the snow and objects. We discussed placement of the angel before glueing. Some of these angels really seem to be flying.
