The project is done based on Java Swing [GUI] with MySQL as the back-end database. Using Jakarta-Ant as the makefile projects and VI as the editor. The purpose of the project is to enable client to input the Import/Export orders from the customer [including the container number,type of container] and to keep track of the cost and the charges applied to the order. At the same time it tracks of the balance [Acct Receivable] of client's order. On the same order, it also tracks the amount owed [Acct Payable] to the trucking company used in the order. The project enables client to view various report [profit, cost, charges, order details] by date, customer name, container no, and so on. It gives client the ability to edit/to add their input as well in the ongoing order. The client can do the incremental pay for their customers account[Acct Receivable] or their trucking company account[Acct Payable]. It also gives the printing ability using the help of browser [Internet Explorer]. |
