An excellent idea! I have been thinking of creating an 'Internet Guide to Montreal', so I first decided to see if there was something like this already in existence. After much searching I found this site. Sites like this have great potential as an 'or anization method' which the Internet desperately needs. Of course they must be easy to find themselves. In my view one of the big problems with the net these days is that it still terms itself a 'Global Village'. While a lot of what is on the web is in eed 'global', more and more new sites & Internet services are only of local interest. The problem is they're hard to find because you get all kinds of other sites and unrelated issues when you're trying to find something in a specific locality. Sites lik this one are potentially of great use in the future, since it seems that when it comes to everyday services and businesses, no matter how 'global' we think we are, we still innately think locally.

I feel in love with Montreal the first time during the summer of 1992 and continue to go every summer for the next three years. I even went during the Christmas/New Year's of 1993, which of course tooked some getting use to, but never the less I always h d a great time. During my stays I always checked into the St. Christophe, which is a local Bed & Breakfast Inn near the Rue Berri Station. There was always something to see and do during each visit and that is what I missed. So this year during the upc ming summer I'm planning on visiting again! Whose knows I might even decide to more there! If possible could I obtain updated information on places to see, things to do, etc., via E-Mail or my home address?
