Welcome to 1998 . . .
Significant because of our 25th wedding anniversary and the fact that I visited Reno twice and Las Vegas four times. That is too many times in one year!
MARCH There is really too much to see and do in Las Vegas in only four days. In one day my husband and I visited Mardi Gras (at the RIO), went into the future at the Star Trek Experience (Hilton), enjoyed NEW YORK NEW YORK, EXCALIBUR, LUXOR, MGM GRAND, and saved civilization by winning the Race for Atlantis at CEASAR'S PALACE. Wow! That same day we ate breakfast at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant and had a meal in a tropical rainforest complete with waterfalls, aquariums, and elephants and monkeys, and a storm.
JUNE Weekend at Harrah's Reno with my friend and co-worker Cherie. Then, Las Vegas Ceasars Palace for two nights in the new tower where the rooms have enormous baths complete with whirlpool tubs. Then back down again to Kingman, Arizona with a stop at Palace Station on the way back.
OCTOBER was when we purchased a slightly used 1998 nineteen foot Fleetwood Mallard camping trailer.
We consider it our anniversary present to each other.
NOVEMBER was our 25th wedding anniversary. We spent it at Circus Circus in Reno with my mother, mother-in-law, aunt, sister-in-law, and her significant other. We had a fantastic first night meal at the hotel's steak house restaurant. Our anniversary meal was at the Atlantis hotel's elegant restaurant.
