Memories from the Heart
I always wanted a little girl,
To dress all fancy with the curls,
You didn't have much hair it seemed
but you was the most precious to me.
You never wanted to be out of my sight,
You would cry with all your might.
You wasn't feeling well from the start,
And I gave you all the love from my heart.
You played soccer from very young.
Boy, did you love to run!!
I watched your games from the side
My heart filling with so much pride.
School has always been tough for you,
but we always seemed to pull you through.
Your brother and you would fight til the end.
And now it makes me happy to know you are friends.
Remember the dog obedience shows?
Frenchie would cry and you wanted to go.
With pride I thought my heart would burst.
When she came out winning first!
From dance classes, bikes, dolls and toys,
To walks, friends, music, and boys.
Today you are a young woman it seems
For you will be turning sweet sixteen.
No matter where we may be
YOU are always a big part of me.
My baby girl from the very start
YOU will always remain in my heart.
