Aurora MACC Run:  July 7, 2007
Race time:  25:22 (8:07/mile) [47 second better/mile from 2 weeks ago--my 2nd fastest 5K time ever!]
3rd in age.

Sisters hanging out together pre-race.   I never realized I was that much taller than Jen.

amy running
I am approaching the finish line.  I knew the clock was nearing 25 minutes, but I ran out of gas to really kick to get a sub-25.

jen running
Jen is approaching the finish line.  Her goal this race was to come in sub-30, and she saw the clock ticking near 29:44.

ipod shot
Jen had her first taste of "Crazy Frog."  She tuned into some of my ipod tunes.
amy finish
Crossing the finish line at 25:22.  My first mile was 7:20, and I knew then that I was in trouble.  But I am pleased with my time.
jen finish
Jen was able to push enough to come across at 29:57.  YEAH JEN!
Julie update:
Julie did not run the MACC this year; she was working in the Cities.  But, she did run a 5K race on the 4th and ended up with a Sub-25!  YEAH!  Plus, the runners were held up by a train, so race officials will be cutting time off of everyone.
amy medal

Left, I am receiving my 3rd place medal after clearing up a mistake for the 2nd year in a row.  This year, they at least had my tag, but had skipped me when putting data on the sheet for 30-34 age group.  They were very good about correcting their wrong (even though the 4th place person still walked away with a bronze medal, too)

Race time:  27:45 (8:54/mile)
[21 second better/mile from 2 weeks ago]
2nd in age; 18th female (approx. 50 females)
Baldwin Race: June 9th, 2007
Goal this race: Finish < 28:00.
WELL.....rough race because of inadequate training.  Went in with very little running under the belt--roughly two runs of 3 miles each.
Race time:  28:51 (9:15/mile)  BUT, thanks for getting my butt in gear, Julie!

Julie, coming up the last big hill right before mile 5 in her 10K portion.  She's the wacko one who accomplished the ULTRA race this year, running a 10K and 5K back-to-back.  Finished 2nd in her age bracket with 1:25 combined time.  Way to go JULIE!

Jen, Amy's sister, crossing the finish line.  Jen took up running only last year, and finished ahead of her goal time, but not her PR.

Despite not achieving an adequate time (according to herself), Amy placed third in her age bracket.  Final time:  28:51 (Definitely NOT her PR)

Race #2 of the year done for Jen (L) and Amy (M).  This was Julie's (R) first of the year.
