4/27/08 This is a block courtesy of Bonnie Hunter (Quiltville.com). I have been working on the blocks on and off for the past couple of months, whenever I'm feeling inspired. I didn't have a plan for the quilt, but it may now turn into the "Retirement" quilt for Nub's retirement party coming up at the end of May.
Here is a layout 4x5. I can see putting one more "cycle" of blocks around this setting, which would make it a perfect size for a snuggly lap quilt.

5/31/08 More action has been made, slowly but surely. If I can survive making 11 more blocks, I think I'll consider it complete. If you imagine completing the top row (on the right picture) and add another column on either side, the completed quilt would then be a 6x7 layout, measuring approx. 48"x56". With some borders added, it would make a perfect lap quilt for someone. Or....who knows....if I stay inspired, I'll keep adding to it and make a full-size or queen-size quilt for one of my mother's guests beds.
