'John Lennon was murdered in New York today....They say it was a screwball but I don't believe it. He may have pulled the trigger but the American Fascist establishment put the gun in his hand....

Why would the American Fascist Establishment kill John Lennon?

Because with the election of Reagan + the Rise of the American Right, and the increased oppression of the underprivileged, and cut-backs in American Liberalism, and the intensification of American imperialism, jingoism and hostilities towards the Soviets, any likely opposition, particularly in the form of a resurrected Youth Movement, has to be stopped before it can get started - and John Lennon, the Arch Champion of Peace and Love, was just beginning to "wake up" and could have become an extremely vocal and effective threat to the Reagan Fascist policies. Are not the New Right jubilant with Reagan's election and did they not say that "...within a generation all homosexuals will be wiped out"'
