Emotion washed over me
with such intensity
my glass slipped through my fingertips
shattering
the seasons of my discontent

Standing in broken glass
and shards of memories,
slivers of emotion
pierce my soul

I bleed willingly
urging the pain to drip away
as my stomach churns
stirring a lost sense
of isolation throughout

My tears fall into the chasm
of my emptiness
making the darkness glitter
and shine

I feel the void within
as happiness falls away
dragging my identity with it
leaving me faceless
inviting the shadows
to carve into me

Despair slinks in
draping itself around me
Sorrow slays my vision
and suddenly...
I am lost...
