Reflecting my shame
sorrow and pain
Sucking out hope
in the mist of it all

A mosaic of memories
bled from the soul
to remind me
of what is no more

claws at your face

No demons, no devil,
no fire
A place where you
manifest all your fears
and nurture,
paranoid desire

I sacrificed life
to learn hell is right here
I yearn for amnesia
so I can escape
awareness
of this predatory fear

You think you're
not on your own
But the emptiness
suffocates souls
left to die or flee
so you face hell alone

Lock the doors
to keep the menace away
But there is no escape
from the hell that's inside
Only your blood
to keep those monsters at bay
