My son has gone today
So much I cannot say
And I'll never see him play
You see, he passed away
Such a beautiful little boy
I wanted to give him every
toy
He was so full of joy
But, now he's gone away
We still have his sisters and
brother
So young, they'll sooner recover
Than will myself and his mother
All holding on to one another
It's a little easier with time
Even more so with a bottle
of wine
Sanity is a line - so fine
Emotions amok, every kind
The other children need us
still
To guide and teach them until
Their own lives they can fulfill
And, so.....we will
In memory of my son Derek
