(Episode 3—A Spark in Versailles to Episode 9—The Sun Sets, The Sun Rises)
Antoinette disrespected Mme du Barry in her first sight. This was encouraged by Louis’ aunt Adelaide.
It first started as a women’s quarrel by forcing to retreat a seat in a drawing room of the Chateau at Choisy, which was not described in the episode.
Like the episode, Mme du Barry complained to Louis XV (whether she threw, stepped and broken all her furniture remained unknown). Louis XV discussed the issue with Comte Mercy. Later on Marie Theresa advised Marie Antoinette to address to Madame du Barry to maintain the peace between the two countries.
One day when she tried to address to Madame du Barry, Aunt Adelaide took her away, saying that she must go back to her room and prepare for Louis.
On New Year’s day, she spoke to Mme du Barry, "there are a lot of people at Versailles today."
After that time, Antoinette addressed to Mme du Barry one more time, but not directly, "what weather! All day its been impossible to go out."
While Louis XV was in serious illness, Mme du Barry did not serve at his bedside. It was Aunt Adelaide, helped by other aunts.
As the King had his final confession and prepared his soul, he sent Mme du Barry away.
