Welcome to my ART page. I have isolated a few details and close-ups of some of the paintings done by the best black artists in South Africa.

Winston Saoli, who is deceased, was one of South Africa's most brilliant black artists, through the country's darkest days. He lived to see only a small part of the recent transitions before his untimely and controversial death. His earlier works have certain undertones of the emotional traumas inflicted by political and social turmoil. Some of his later works however started to show the radiance of the peoples' hopes and dreams of a better South Africa.

His art is celebrated world-wide thanks to the tireless efforts of Martin Britz, a passionate collector and dealer of African Art and Artefacts. He is the founder of the Winston Saoli Art Foundation and is on the web promoting among others, Winston's works. Click on the photo to link to that site.
