Nagar Code of Conduct

Around the year 355 A.C.E., the Nagars created a code of conduct, so that they would be able to preserve their identity. This code called for all Nagars to:

  • Preserve their Religion through the worship of Lord Shiva (left) and Shakti

  • Practice Good Conduct and Justice

  • Prohibit Intercaste Marriages

  • Prohibit Intercaste Dining

It also prescribed a few daily practices and many samskaras or rituals.
