ALL THE QUEEN'S MEN by Linda Howard

John Medina & Niema Burdock

Sequel to KILL AND TELL

John Medina is a Black Ops specialist. This means that he is almost always in deep cover, running the most secretive government missions. In his line of work, death isn't just a possibility, it is a given. It is impossible for him to use his own name, have a real home, or have any kind of commitment to anything or anyone. He is constantly looking over his shoulder, wondering if his cover has been blown.

In "All the Queen's Men," John is going to meet up with someone from his past. He and Niema Burdock had worked together on one mission several years ago, but she has since given up that life and chosen instead the unglamorous but crucial job as a specialist in intelligence technology. John enlists Niema's help and expertise in an overseas operation whose success or failure will have global implications. The only problem is that Niema doesn't trust John-she never has, ever since her husband was killed while working on an operation with him. This issue of trust will be an important hurdle for these two to overcome as they work together. Theirs is the type of profession in which any connections or personal relationships can put a mission in jeopardy, which makes for a lonely but exciting life. But this type of danger can be addictive and hard to give up, as both Niema and John will find out--and you will too when you read "All the Queen's Men."
