PRINCE CHARMING by Julie Garwood

Lucas Ross & Lady Taylor Stapleton

Lady Taylor Stapleton's world was crumbling. She had been betrayed and publicly humiliated by her fiancé who elope with her mean-spirited cousin, Jane. Life is further complicated by Uncle Malcolm, who has set his sights on Taylor's inheritance as well as her flesh. Now, with the help of her beloved grandmother, Lady Ester, Taylor is about to pull off the shocker of the season.

Taylor agrees to marry handsome American Lucas Ross, a rugged, independent American, and together they plan to leave England behind forever. Once they get to America, they will go their separate ways... Taylor to Boston, Lucas to his Montana ranch... or so they believe.

Lucas Ross, a mountain man from Montana Territory who happens to be her ex-fiance's half-brother. Lucas plans to be a husband in name only, but he falls in love with his new wife and Taylor realizes she has found her very own Prince Charming in buckskin.

Taylor plans to obtain guardianship of her late sister's twin daughters to prevent her pedophiliac Uncle Malcolm from harming the girls, but upon arriving in Boston, Taylor discovers the twins' nanny has died and the girls are in danger of being sold into prostitution. Lucas arranges for an old friend, Hunter, to help him rescue the twins, and Taylor adds Hunter to her family along with an unwed pregnant woman and an orphaned boy. While Lucas tracks down an enemy from his past, Taylor flees to his home in Montana with her uncle in pursuit.

Thrown together by mutual need, Lucas and Taylor could not have come for more different worlds: his, the wide-open skies of Montana territory, and hers, the restrictive, proper London drawing rooms. They have only one thing in common. They will do anything to protect the innocents who depend on them.
