Mom

A Mothers Love is Endless

What can I say about Mom? She is the one that is always there for me. Loves me even when I make mistakes "and I do" lol. Mom is always ready to offer a helping hand, be it financially, or to do laundry, or just be there to support me. Take for instance this next picture, of me and the car mom gave to me, because she was worried about my van, and money it cost me to operate it. Aren't Moms wonderful !!!

Mom is currently spending the winter in Oklahoma, with my sisters. She is watching kids, doing laundry cooking meals. Some things never change...:) Mom also loves to feed the birds and the squirrels. Which until I moved I never realised ALL squirrels weren't black. All the squirrels in my hometown "Oscoda, where mom lives" are black I never saw a real gray squirril until about 9 years ago when I moved away. Living in the north Country, Mom tries to stay busy, when she is home...She visits the elderly at the home, once a week, plays cards with friends, calls Bingo for the VFW and gets together with her friends.

Mom and some Friends

I also remember when I was younger (lots younger, lol) how mom would always drive us kids all over the place so we could be with friends and have fun. Between her and my Best Friends Dad, they used to take us snow skiing every weekend. They would take us up at 5pm on friday night and pick us up at 11pm, then take us back at 10am sat till 10pm, then again on sundays too...The ski lodge was not close either it was 35 miles away! I realise now how much trouble that must have been for them...but they never complained:)) Aren't Parents Wonderful??? :))

"What Mom Took"

Most often when we think of Mom
We think of what she's given.
The softness of a loving touch,
 A gentle guide for living.
 A nightly tip-toe in a room,
 An understanding look.
But,sometimes when I think of mom,
I think of what she took.
She took a child and taught it how to live this life with pride,
She took those kindergarten tears and kept them all inside.
She took the hands that longed to hold,
Her child and not let go,
used them to push her child along,
The way, to thrive and grow.
Took some time to do some other things,
Like sew and clean and cook,
And never thought to ask for thanks,
For all the things she took.

I Love you Mom..
