I had so many problems when long ago you came to me, holding me, comforting me. You told me there was an easier way and that you could take all my cares away without death waiting and wanting me.

In one instant I was changed I had lost my mortal life and gained eternity.

And as we stood in that lonely place just as a new day was beginning you told me to look to the East and listen to my heart because as I would look to see my last sunrise, I would hear the last beat of my heart fading into silence.

From that point on I have lived immortal watching my friends die before me in anguish and misery.

I no longer see the sunrise or hear my own heart beating but I hear the beatings of others and long for that precious rythem.

To this night I bid farewell and to the shadows I fall. I look to the East longing again to see the sunrise that once I loved. But to the blackness of the night I belong for time and all eternity. Longing once again to be free.
