Song of Solomon 3:5

(actual verse is here)

by Michael C. Shivar

Oh if I could only tell you If I could only show you What I feel towards you To let you know you’re wonderful It’s not just because you’re beautiful It’s not just because you’re fun It’s something I just can’t explain A source of my frustration You are not the typical girl Your heart is pure as snow Your eyes have a charming light Your presence a certain glow Your actions show your love for Jesus You talk of what He does for you And that’s the kind of girl I want That’s something I want to do The smile you smile is a beautiful smile A smile for the world to see And the smile you smile, that beautiful smile I wish you’d smile for me And I could listen to you all day long Wish you’d share your days with me And I wish I could hold you all day long And you would trust in me You’re young and you’re still growing There are still places for you to go And whether God has me in your plans Is something time will only show It never seems to be the time And it never seems the place It never seems she’ll come my way But maybe I’m in haste So maybe we should take our time Maybe we should slow our pace And maybe God will bless this patience And give our souls some grace So ask Jesus to guard your soul From evil and despair Stay pure, and if not for me That special one who’ll be there *no insight listed as of yet
