Just a Thought Away

It's only a mile or two
And soon I will be home
I'll be driving up the old dirt road
And I'll see the porch light on

I'll be standing at the front door
You’ll step into the light
I’ll put down all my heavy baggage
Take you in my arms and hold you tight

And I’ll wake up in the morning 
To the day I left it seems
Spanning hazy roads of country miles
Waking to a dusty dream

And the stars in the heaven bow to the day
And you’re just a thought away....
Just a thought away....

I am gulf, a field, and miles too far apart
And I’ve looked back and seen your smile
Mental pictures and memories are all I’ve got
And they’ve gotten me as far...

As I am now, across fields and and fairy tales
The world behind me lost in haze
I sit back in my chair relaxed
Because you’re just a thought away
Just a thought away....
