Driving

by Mike Shivar

It's Saturday at two
I've got so much to do
And I'm stuck here in the parking lot
Behind a kid from driving school

He stops at every corner
He's afraid to use the gas
I'd go around him just like that
But his car's too big to pass

Back up little lady
Turn the key and back on out
Use the accelerator little lady
The woman behind is cussing me out

Walmart at Christmas
Watching all the red lights
Seeing a car backing out
Is such a beautiful sight

And just when I think
I'm about to get a space
Some jerk drives up
And takes my parking place

And it's "Merry Christmas to you!"
Do unto others as been done to
So I shift into drive in my own defense
And plow into his car cause I got insurance

I swear, I swear
I had the right of way
It's some other *&% unlucky day

Isn't Christmas a wonderful time of year
People filled with maddening cheer
Everyone seems to love the holidays
Grumpy old folks pushing others out of their way

I love the repititious caroling songs
I wish the holidays would just end
People celebrate by pushing and fighting
Can't wait till next year's begin

Why did he write that?!?!?
