Falling Down

by Michael C. Shivar

Falling down, why the frowns? Tossing away your golden crowns Blaming me for the things you’ve done Forsaking me I stand alone You call me friend but for how long? You thought I’d quit but you were wrong How long before you realize You’ve been exposed behind the disguise “No man can give unfailing love” Yet I can prove that one Man does Died for us Who knew no sin And I want to love the way He did Agape comes before Eros I’ve fallen short but I’ve been close To showing you a bonding love One that you refused to take part of Will you stay as others flee? Or leave me hanging from this tree? You say that I have your support Yet I’m in the boat and you’re on shore Will the wicked prevail while I’m around? Will I be alone when the world falls down? *no insight listed as of yet
