The most cutest waitress in Brazil! Works in a fine bar in the dreamy island of Arraial da Ajuda. |

(Above photo) Salvador, Bahia. Huge women, great food, good music... what else? Well, 5 minutes out of the hotels area and you realize how poor these people are. It's amazing. Some people are so rich over there, and some... not! (Understatement!) Yet, they look very happy! (The "not-so-rich-people"...). We have a saying in Hebrew: "More properties - more worries". They proved it right! These two sweet girls are about 7 hours south to Salvador (400 km), in an unreal Hollywood-like island called Arraial da Ajuda, near the town of Porto Seguro (with the BEST wild parties in the area!!! 10$ to enter, which is like 2 nights in a hotel over there, but worth it!!!) Salvador and its surroundings are known as 'Africa in exile' because of the mixture of African and European - as you can see with these two little girls! |

Inland from Salvador, 7 hours to the west (400 km), lies the most beautiful place on earth, (It seems like ALL of the "most beautiful place on earth" are in South America...), a small (population less than 8000), quiet town called Lençois. Got some great things over there, worth the ride! They are very different, in almost every way from the Salvadorians. This woman bought the local "bread" in the monday market. This fruit is filled with small, round seeds, which can be made into almost everything! They also have GREAT juices - straight from the fruits on the tree behind the house... I MISS IT SO MUCH!!! |

Back to Salvador, where the Carnival is the biggest, (and the longest!), you can find people dancing the famous Capuera on the streets, drums booming in huge groups, (up to 200 drums in a group!) and happy people - all around the year! You're still here?! GO THERE!!! |
